There is info about using the update software, and I have a copy, but I have never looked at it as you need an account on the MG servers to use it - which I obviously do not have.

Any advice on how to access the engineering menu on an SE?

it seems to be common knowledge on other models, ZS, MG5 and the MG4 higher end models but the base model seems to be different for some reason.
you can’t tap the version number in settings.

Although it's common knowledge on some models there's not much information on how to use it when you get there., e.g. what can it do ?

Hi, are you able to post any images of the driveshafts? MG4 X-Power if possible, although the other models would be interesting too

You access it via the Phone screen. Bring it up, select the keypad and then enter the details below - as soon as you press the last key the menu should appear:

It looks like there isn't a single-book shop manual, but all the documentation is available at MG - Repair & Maintenance Information

I do have some documentation for the MG4/5 and ZS. There are copyright issues sharing it, though I'm happy to provide the odd excerpt.
