MG5 (2024 model) 'System' menu?

I am trying to update my Sat Nav's maps. Car shows 22 Q3.
I have downloaded the latest maps from MG and put onto a USB stick (Maps folder).
The instructions to upload in the pdf say:
1. start the vehicle and put it in P gear. (OK)
2. Insert the USB drive in the USB port (OK)
3 Go to 'Settings>System>Tap on Map Update ??
How do I access the 'Settings>System' menu? I cannot find this option.

Swipe across to the right of the main screen, select Settings and then System from the right hand side. Its not called Map Update on mine though - it comes up as Resource Update.
I seem to remember 2 things - there was some nonsense about deleting one of the files on the USB drive which you might have to google. The other thing I remember is that it took an absolute age to get started.

No problems at all. I formatted the 32GB USB drive. Downloaded and unzipped the file. Copied the ‘maps’ folder to usb stick. 100,000+ files, took about 2 hours. Followed instructions, waited for car to load data, another hour. Worked perfectly. Very grateful for the help.

Same here. Last version was a complete nightmare, with my having to eventually delete one of the files before it would load, but this time it all worked seamlessly.

Hello everyone is there anyone on this forum would be willing to download the latest map updates for my MG5 74 plate trophy onto a usb i would obviously pay for this service i could send a jiffy bag etc with the return address on etc i don't have any microsoft /apple mac devices etc i've also not got the knowledge to do so the local computer shop tried and failed on my berlingo and charged me for the privilege unsure if MG dealers should be updating the maps on the service schedule etc i use carplay most of the time so it may not be any use anyway but i do like to have things up to date thanks for any help.

I have this available in my laptop as I did this job a few days ago. It is easy to do in the car but does take a while (about 30 minutes) to upload the vast amount of data. would need a minimum of a 32GB USB stick. Colin

Thanks for that i've just been online to check which map update is available with no joy. i did this a few weeks ago and found that it came up with 2023 Q4-Comfort Edition but now i cant find any links etc online to find this info again anyone got any ideas where to look maybe web site is gone down etc thanks.

Walter, The version I have already downloaded ready for USB is the 2024 Q3, which I believe is the latest. (24Q3_EU_20240829032156_n). PM me for address, sned me a 32GB USB stick & I will give you my address. No charge.
