MG5 compared with the ZS EV

I owned an MG metro back in 1983 and it was the most unreliable and by far the worst car ever .it fell apart around me and it barely limped into the garage to trade it in after 2 years. In contrast my Zs ev is possibly the best car i have ever owned although time will tell.i can't hold a grudge for 35yrs .

I had one too, it was an Austin Metro it had what was called a E gear, 3 + E I think. Brand new and a great car went to Europe (3 adults 2 children) no problem.
Have thought about buying one now, a great classic. But apparently I have enough "old cars" at home. In the past had Metro, Morris1100, Riley Elf, Austin 1300 GT, MG 1300 wow!, Triumph Sprint MG B's & GT, Rover 220 coupe, 400 saloon and some more. Oh and in the early days Dads A35 van absolutely brilliant, I wish could find one now. Lots of different makes/models but I think the worst car was a Ford Zephyr- poxy gear box (and I worked for Ford at the time!)
Sorry you got me reminiscing mate about the old days. Still our ZS does bring back memories.

Nice list of cars there .my list isn't maybe as classic as yours but here goes.first car a bond bug which i drove on a bike licence ,datsun 1200,mini ,cortina mk2 estate ,cortina mk3,ford pop e93a with a ford v6 jag rear axle etc custom car that i built myself , american trans am ,Triumph Tr7 ,then the mg metro which i bought when i qualified as a driving instructor .lots of run of the mill small hatchs since then for work, but also chrysler300,hyundai xg30, fiat coupe twin turbo, all just memories now .

If only you had the Bond Bug now, worth quite a bit. Same with an original 72 Escort Mexico (red, side flash and custom pack) washed/polished twice a week, I used to grease the alloys with Marine grease in the winter to avoid that "spider" cracking, a complete nerd  Cost about £1400 new as Ford employee now ........ £45K?

I had a Meixco too, CTW 515T with a updated rear diff and a Cosworth gear box; wish I still had it....could have traded it for a Tesla and still walked away with cash..

Had most cars under the sun but loved my 1961 mini the most. I saw 1 in a showroom the other day from afar. Went to have a closer look and saw the price tag...£34,000 !!!! God I wished I had kept mine now.
