There is a recall for MG5 facelift, its: WR1 Recall Campaign - SC055
had mine done today and sofware updated: MPU version is 1300R17
MCU version is 83.3.5.0

What was the reason for recall and did you get a letter about it or done as part of a service ?

No notification about the recall, apparently it is only minor. I reported to MG that the auto high beam was going nuts (the screen was clean), and they booked it in for the recall/update.
