What's going on? I had an MG5 pre facelift 71 reg from new and the first service was £44.

The selling dealer has just mailed me to say my newer 74 reg MG5 LR is due its first service in Dec and it wil lbe over £300 (low mileage).

My local ex MG dealer (still a service partner) was a bit over £200.

I know weve had some inflation but these prices are insane for an EV first service aren't they?

Get a quote from the MG website for a service plan to lock in prices.

I was already looking at a service plan and have now signed up for three years but still the annual service at year 1 is more than double what is was 3 years ago, which was the point of my post.

Just had first service on our FL5 today. Used Bulldog in Twyford at a set price of £150 (was the same for my XPower end of last Summer), albeit no option from them for it to be a low-mileage one (has less than 3k miles on clock). When the wheels were replaced under warranty in Dec at Beaconsfield they were touting to do it for the bargain price of £340...

It depends on the service - a major one just cost me £340. Around £200 for the minor service.

That was Caffyns Ashford.
