MG5 - Vent cover under front window - distorting

Is it a common issue where in our case the vent insert

onto of the dashboard lifts up in the hot weather.Now 3 months on it has mostly settled back down

Do you think it was the record breaking weather we had earlier this year?

Yes certainly, so I waited for it to move back, but still a small gap- if easy to remove may give it a twist thanks
