MG5 won't balance charge (2020 pfl exclusive)

Same speed like LFP on NMC now, when it’s cold
Battery believe that it was 10 degrees colder
Sorry, I misunderstood, are you’re saying that after the latest upgrade your NMC battery now thinks the average cell temperature is 10deg lower than actual?

That’s obviously very concerning, anyone else experiencing the same issue?

In France yes ! And I’m not alone, almost all FL NMC with same lower speed since 2024-09
Battery regulation still exists at >25° battery min but temp control charge speed is average almost 10° lower
However each data temp was good, we can’t say same thing about tension CMU reports LFP voltage
But min max and pack voltage are clearly NMC ones.

Clearly Impossible to reach original max speed 88kW to 10-40% 80kW-50% 70kW-60% 60kW-70% 50kW-80%

As you have noticed CarScanner doesn’t display all PIDs correctly (CMU min/max voltages, Battery cells' data). I wonder if ‘Battery temperature average’ is to be trusted?

It could well be that the OEM MG diagnostic tool shows different values?

I see roughly the same slow 40-50kW in winter on our FL MG5, but it does speed up significantly in summer. BTW it didn’t have any SW updates since we got it 2.5 years ago.
