This list of issues have been sendt to MG Norway. No feedback yet from them...

Most of them are already discussed on this forum.
Good list, but I would absolutely hate listening to music with that EQ setting. I knew how it would sound, but tried it anyway just to confirm, and it's like suffocating the speakers with a pillow 🤣. Sound preference is individual, but that should certainly not be the default setting.

The "flat" setting sounds like playing directly form my mobil phone. Absolutely no bass, only a screaming trebble. Dont know if yours sound different, but this is the closes to anything normal I could get from it. Still very low bass and too much trebble. Going to install bigger amplifier for the "subwoofer" to see if it helps.

Agree that the sub is virtually useless. I'm planning to replace it. There's enough room there to install something with far more "ompf". But there's a lack of power all over, so I'll explore a bit to see if I can find the amp. It's probably the same or similar to the MGS5, and there are ready made amplifier kits for that model, complete with cable harness etc.
Haven't got to explore the sub in detail yet, so not sure if it has an inbuilt amp, or if it's passive.

The amplifier is not in the subwoofer, it is passive. The amp is probably located inside the trunk sidepanels or something.

What I also noticed, there is a massive difference playing music from different sources and different music, one of the mp3 tracks from my mobile sounds amazing, playing the same from Spotify not so much... And the sub sounds great with that MP3 track

Noticed that Bluetooth is better than DAB radio.

Same here. Much more punch with good quality mp3 tracks than the same track with Tidal lossless.
Are you positive the sub is passive? That's a good thing though. Just need a high level analog adapter and a new amp and sub then.
I haven't measured the cables going to the sub, but it looked like 4 wires, so I though it would be signal + and -, ground and remote power.
If its passive the 4 wires is probably just to get somewhat lower gauge, as they are wafer thin.

Yes, seems like the amplifier is located behind the lefthand trunk sidepanel. The woofer itself i just connected with high-level inputs (it's a 2 channel input, have not checked if it is twin woofer or just dual-coil). Looking to find a spare connector (BY175) to avoid cutting the original wiring. I got myself an amplifier from RECOIL that is supposed to "power on" automatically by the high level input.

Following this with a lot of interest, can you share details of the RECOIL amp?

What is the doc these images are from? Also following with keen interest.

From the service manual. Downloaded it from MG website. Payed 6€ for 1 hour access.

Hopefully I get to perform a test this weekend. This is the amp: RL680.4 680 WATTS FULL RANGE CLASS-D 4-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER – Recoil Audio RL680.4 680 WATTS FULL RANGE CLASS-D 4-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER – Recoil Audio

I think you will need a high level adaptor anyway. A lot of systems will detect additional amps, and cause an error. I suspect this might, as there is a CAN connection as well. A good high level adaptor will make any additional or replacement amps look like original and not cause error.

Are you planning to just use the recoil amp to power the sub? May help a little bit with more power, but the sub itself is utter crap, so wouldn't get my hopes up.

Also, since you also are Norwegian, I've been in contact with Bassbrothers.no about making kits for the MGS6, and they said it's on the list, but haven't had many requests for it, so it'll be far down the list. If more people, like you, ask about it, they might push it forward, so you can replace the amp, get the correct harness, subs that fit etc.

It can drive everything I like it to👍

CAN does not know anything about the analog output from the factory amplifer.

I've been in contact with Bassbrothers. Taking too long, and will be quite expensive.
