Was wondering if anyone had made any interesting modifications to their mg3 hybrid yet? I am personally in the process of tinting brake/headlights, a bit of debating plus making the MG badges black and maybe getting the wheels blacked out still unsure though. Anyone else?

I bought this carbon fibre vinyl sheet to cover the 'piano black' areas, especially the one around the gear selector, but I'm not sure how I will do it yet. When I have the template to cut it out, I'll share it so you can reproduce it, as well as the photos of the final result.

Be great if you would. I have a chip on the gear area never noticed it when picked car up. Dealership not interested as wasn't pointed out. so I have bought same as yourself to cover it up, but not attempted yet.

Rear bumper protector, mg3 dust caps, wheel sticker and interior led bulbs are a must also sill protector.

I've also just changed the courtesy lighting with these white LEDs, which provide extra light while using less energy.
It's not easy to unclip, as there's no + and - polarity indicator, but the effect is instantaneous and real.

Did you put some silicon spray or similar in the threads of those dust caps ?
I fitted a set to a Vauxhall Meriva once and they “corroded?” on and were immovable when I came to check the pressures. The entire valves were turning in the road wheels and I couldn’t remove the caps.
The only cure was removal of the wheels and tyres and replacement of the valves.
I’ve never used these fancy valve caps again.
It’ll be worse nowadays with tyre pressure monitoring - very tempting to just believe that and not periodically check the pressures manually.

I agree with what you say, Archev.
I had the same thing happen to me with a previous car - the cap I'd put on had stuck to the valve due to the damp and corrosion.
I've since decided never to have that problem again.

I had the same issue with a set I bought in Halfords years ago and came to the same conclusion. They do look good, it's just the hassle of getting them off.

Using this on all the door sills to prevent scratches from shoe heels scrapes as people enter and exit the car might be a good idea!

Door protection "carbon look" made with vinyle stickers. 2-3 € on aliexpress

Led bulbs in the cabin, better remove the full block then remove gently the bulbs. Another method which won't damage the transparent / hard plastic of the ceiling light.

About the front floor mats:

The dealer gave them to me and fitted them.

There are 2 holes to hold them in place.
How do you remove these mats to clean them? Is there anything you have to do (turn?) or do you have to pull hard?
