headlights
A headlamp is a lamp attached to the front of a vehicle to illuminate the road ahead. Headlamps are also often called headlights, but in the most precise usage, headlamp is the term for the device itself and headlight is the term for the beam of light produced and distributed by the device.
Headlamp performance has steadily improved throughout the automobile age, spurred by the great disparity between daytime and nighttime traffic fatalities: the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states that nearly half of all traffic-related fatalities occur in the dark, despite only 25% of traffic travelling during darkness.Other vehicles, such as trains and aircraft, are required to have headlamps. Bicycle headlamps are often used on bicycles, and are required in some jurisdictions. They can be powered by a battery or a small generator like a bottle or hub dynamo.
I pick up grandchildren from some night time sports events and can’t figure out how to kill the headlights while in parking mode awaiting their exit from sports hall. Is it possible??
Headlights on (not on auto), with the lights slider switch fully left. More than once now I have pushed the arm to choose main beam and, in the process, accidentally moved the switch to the right - so that I find myself on sidelights. Did it last night on a bendy B road and it scared me more...
I've had an issue for a couple of months not serious but thought I'd post to see if it's a potential problem or not .
When driving along the heater lights flash up without warning momentarily . After a while I noticed the headlights were coming on at the same time . On further observations , it...
After charging got into my mg 4 at about 8pm dark outside and went on my way. Guy flashed at me and said my headlights were not on even doe the screen indicated that they were on. Stopped the car looked at the front and they were in complete darkness even the day time running light were off . I...
How are people finding the auto headlight function?
It's one of the issues I have that has me going back to MG again.
Auto headlights works for 5-20 min of a journey and then stops.
Sometimes it'll come back if I toggle it in the infotainment screen, other times I have to power down the car...
Has anyone else noticed that in the very unusual event of MANUALLY turning the headlights on (eg motorway, sunny day, heavy rain) when you exit and lock the car the lights DON'T go off!! (Trophy R33)
Hi Everyone, Just a quick question regarding the headlights of the HS Phev. I have had my car for a few months now and only drove it in the dark last night. While the lights are nice bright white, they are somewhat lacking on actually lighting the road ahead. What I mean is this if on a...
Howdy all. I've just recently had the pleasure of getting a new ZS EV LR, and still working a few things out.
Something I've encountered last night, is that I want to run the heater while parked at night without the headlights being on. Plenty of situations for this - waiting for someone, etc...
I own a MG ZS EV Exclusive reg WA70 and the headlights are awful. I’ve put in Osram Night Breakers (halogen) but they’re still dreadfully dull compared to the LEDs on my last car.
Has anyone had the same problem and had any success finding better bulbs?
I’m basically looking for the whitest...
I'm going on a trip to Europe in a couple of weeks. I have an MG ZS EV Exclusive (2021) and I'm wondering if I have to put beam correction stickers on my headlights or can I get away with lowering my beam?
I'm driving to Germany in a couple of weeks with my facelift ZS. There seems to be conflicting information on whether or not I need to have any headlight adjusters fitted.
It sounds like the facelift ZS has flat LEDs, and so can just be moved down a notch, and that should be okay - can anyone...
