Most useful MG4 accessory?

There are many options. AliExpress and Temu are cheaper, but shipping is slower. MGCLUBS are more expensive, but shipping is faster.

I bought a new mg4 standart for the wife (16.5k direct import in Swizerland)

9$ Ali Express Steering Wheel Cover

Sound System upgrade (Tweeters, Speakers and underseat sub.)

Window Tint (sun stribe on windshield)

Vci to get all the updates done.

All lights to leds and android ai box

Full clean rear and black MG front

Cheap Alloys for the summer tires.

I think the car is unbeatable for that price.

What LEDs did you buy?

Do note, that those open wheels will kill a lot of range. Not a very good thing when the car already has pretty small battery.

Anecdotal evidence says that the wheel trims make minimal difference to range ... speed and the weight of your right foot make far more difference. :)

that's actually a common misconception. Aerodynamic properties of the wheel and wideness of tire play a significant role in consumption.

For example; tesla3 lr rws drops almost 10% of WLTP range when you upgrade to 19" wheels with more open design.

And the faster you drive, the more effect wheel aero has on your consumption/range.
Same with tire type. A sporty grippy tire will easily kill 10%+ of your range compared to a more EV specific low rolling resistance one.

And once you add all those up, it's quite a difference.

If anyone can tell me how to safely remove the wheel trims (as pulling on them isn't releasing the tight tabs) I can do some back to back tests here as i do the same longish journey very often.

I do think the larger wheels will also come with wider tyres, and are heavier thus more un-sprung mass and that it's this that is more likely to affect the range than the wheel trims are.

Perhaps, but the drag coefficient of a model 3 is around 0.23, where the MG4 is around 0.27-0.28, so I doubt the design of the wheel really has as much impact on an MG4's range as it does on the model 3.

As @siteguru said, anecdotal evidence from MG4 owners on this forum indicates the consumption changes are insignificant, unless perhaps you are a hyper-miler.

LED bulbs for the interior light and the centre console tray are the most useful accessories I've bought.
Mud flaps do seem to keep a little bit of the road spay off the rear end but not much.
Another useful accessory are the 1kg dehumidifier bags to keep the misting down. These large ones don't need refreshing as often as the smaller ones.

Just another reason not to kill even more aero with worse wheels.

It's difficult to actually measure the difference in real world, but the difference is there. Otherwise manufactureres wouldn't bother covering them up.

Pulling them seems to be the way mate.

I had everyone in Motosave try and pull mine off, and even me ragging with all my might. In the end they used a screwdriver and damaged my alloy wheel grrrr.

I thought I could use a tie down strap like they use on lorry's and feed behind to pull but they didn't have any of them. It looks like the 17" ones in the video are easier than the 18" ones to pull off.

In the past MG's & Rover used to have this tool which might have worked for our wheel trims as it had a plastic end, but I can't find one in my garage
