Moving On From MG4

I have the absolute perfect solution. 😂😂
Five full size seats & oodles of luggage space.
Four full size seats two bikes and oodles of luggage space.
Two full size seats two washing machines and a lot of luggage space.
Any of the above plus tow a caravan or trailer.

Sadly, it doesn't meet Mrs S's requirement to do well in excess of 300 miles...

Plus, double whammy, and this is ridiculous, it's French!

She speaks French and lived and worked in France for a couple of years, and has even owned a French car (which never gave her a moment's trouble), but dislikes them enough not to want to own another...why? I'll never know!!

I have driven many commercial versions of the Berlingo from its inception to 2012. It's a very spacious, competent machine.

Well then, just tell her it's really a Fiat and is made in Spain. According to Google...

"The Citroën Berlingo is manufactured at multiple Stellantis sites, primarily in Vigo, Spain, for most models, and at Ellesmere Port in the UK, which is the main manufacturing plant for the electric ë-Berlingo van."

This is what Google says...

Check the VIN Number. FV is Vigo in Spain, U7 is Ellesmere Port.

Or find the ORGA/RP sticker
Look for a sticker on the driver's A-post or sometimes it's under the bonnet.

This number tells you the production date.
Then next to it there will be two characters for the factory, FV for Vigo & U7 for Ellesmere Port.

But I can't confirm the U7 code!

One website says U7 is for the Heuliez factory in France, but AFAICT, they have never built Berlingo.

Vin number starts VF7 - I think that means a Citroen (code 7) built in France (VF)

If I read the spec correct "VF7" means Peugeot France is the manufacturer. The 11th character seems to indicate the assembly plant.

Stellantis VIN Position 11 (Assembly Plant) Highlights:
  • France (Common): Frequently represented by codes like P (Sochaux), 6 (Poissy), or various letters depending on the platform (e.g., Peugeot 3008, Citroën C5 Aircross).
  • Spain (Common): Frequently represented by codes like J (Madrid) or W (Vigo - Opel/Citroën/Peugeot)

I bow to your superior knowledge then and say mine is J, therefore Spain, thank you.

is the DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) option available for some models. This can help change ride comfort no matter what wheel/tyre combination you have.
Not available on the SE-L.

I found out the Enyaq SE-L was specifically introduced for fleet clients and lease customers.

Apparently, it is only a couple of bits of equipment short of the Edition trim but shed loads cheaper.

Even DCC is not standard on the Edition trim, but is part of the Maxx pack, which is a really dear add-on.

I remember reading somewhere on this forum someone saying they liked MG's approach of SE and Trophy trims.

Skoda's approach is thoroughly confusing...and extremely expensive! You have the different models. Then you have different interiors. Then you have a variety of different packs you can add on.

But even the vehicle configurator on Skoda's website gets confused because it warns you that if you choose incompatible options, you will get an error message!!

I asked in the showroom if we could add the equivalent of MG's 360 cam to the basic SE-L.
I can't remember the final price, but you can't just add a cam. You have to specify a load of unrelated stuff you don't want and pay through the snozz for it!
