MZ ZS EV May 2023, software updates

My ZS EV LR (2023) is due its first MOT in May 2026. I’ve checked the firmware and it says R16, though after digging around a little bit I understand there has since been a R25 and a R27. I’m inclined to ask the dealer to do the updates to the latest version just so it is up to date, though in terms of charging I’ve never needed to use a Tesla charger but iSmart (which I think has been tinkered with in more recent updates) is unreliable. Otherwise everything is working fine. I’d be very grateful for thoughts on this. I imagine that if the work is done then it’ll take the better part of a day. TVM

My car a 2025 jan one came with r26 and was updated to r27 at the first service this month

I now have icons for bbc radio stations.
In December the t box failed and it will be fixed on Friday. Ismart was flaky before but I'll update you as it doesn't connect right now

The tesla charging ability is not linked to the infotainment firmware.

There are tens of different modules in the car, the module that will enable tesla charging is the OBC (OnBoard Charger), the fix seems to be make the OBC able to communicate with the tesla charger in a way it will accept.

But usually, if they update the Infotainment, there are more "hidden" updates they will do afterwards and yes, it seems like this is a rather lengthy procedure and i bet they would want you to pay for it
