Navigation maps update

My maps are 3rdQ of 2022
I purchased my MG4, this past December, it is Long Range Luxury
Yesterday I updated the infotainment software to R59 from R40.
The Nav maps are still the same. I read in the Updates thread, some time ago, how to update the maps, but I can't find it now - in any case I think the topic deserves a dedicated thread.

Enter your VIN and click Map Update Download button. And you will get detail instruction how to do it.

how long time will it take to update the Navigation MAPS software?
I have already downloaded the file (17GB) and unpacked into a USB.

What I am concerned is the time needed to effectuate the update, as 17GB (unpackled 21GB) is quite a mouthful.

Maps are 2023 q4 still?

It takes about 40 minutes to update the maps once you plug in the USB and start the process.

However, note that the latestest maps are 2024Q3. Please follow my instructions in #2 above to see the thread about how to get the maps and what to do
