New car payment upfront without viewing

May find dealers get a pallet of pumps and sealant gunk delivered and they should ensure they put them into each car during the probably non existent PDI....

That sounds more like it. Ok there's been no spare wheels in a lot of cars, for years now. But not even a Tyre inflator and Gunk
now. That can't be right. Didn't want to start saying he must be wrong. As he must know what he's talking about. 🤣
But I'm gonna do a bit more checking into this. I'll give him a week, to see if he does get one for her. Although not holding me breath.

Free ? AA or RAC cover included ??? and renewed with every service ? ( up to 7 years )
Nice car , there are few around here, never seen one with a puncture so it should be fine .😀

AA cover 12 months only, then 2nd year for £82. And as long as you get it serviced there, which she will, the warranty is up to 10 years. Yep, it's a nice motor, perfect for her. And you are right about punctures, they do seem to be quite rare in most cars, these days. Still the inflator and Gunk, would've been, nice. Although to be fair, think they are shite anyway. 🙂👍

Under no circumstances should you pay for a car without viewing it it could be damaged etc and it's illegal to ask for payment without viewing, Would you buy a house without viewing? I agree with the others on this chat use your credit card for some of the payment for extra security.

Don't pay the balance test drive the car make sure it's all good if the dealership insists for full payment walk away ask for deposit back . plenty more Mgs out there .

Never had or used credit cards . In over 40 odd years of buying cars I've never been asked to pay full amount up front before viewing ' on the day ' My own car bought from Motorpoint ( a first ! )was paid by debit card by presenting card contactless , no requests for pin etc ! I made point of joking I found that card outside on the pavement....salesman replied that they rarely if ever get requested to ask customer to enter pin as their account is a car business and large payments are the norm. Only reason I'm travelling so far is local dealers have no stock and none available to order in preferred colour . Apparently 'Arnold ' has plenty in stock according to their sales staff but want another £8000 for the sale ! I suppose dealers down south have more competition...

A credit card is a useful thing. I have one only used for large or exceptional purchases, such as booking or paying for holidays and spending on holidays. (commission free and perfect exchange rates :) ) cars etc. Set to automatically repay in full each month so no interest ever accrued. Section 75 can be useful, although never had to call upon it fortunately.

Hi , yes was rather taken aback by their message this morning saying that they cannot wiil not release car from their compound , get car ready for pick up next week etc until paid for in full. Its Stoneacre MG so not a back street outfit from my understanding and research. Payment will be by debit card.
Fixed that for you...
