New car payment upfront without viewing

Good lord! Saga wanted near £300 extra for 6 months and £450 if I bought a year.
I went with Admiral for £260 for the year and a refund from Saga.

Well done on getting a decent quote from Saga in the first place, they have always been horrendously expensive for me wherever I have lived or whatever car I have (FNCD).

I was with them anyway, I think my policy was about £230 and roughly 6 months in so them asking £300 more to complete the year was a shock.

With it being a new car they might be being over cautious and you might find it comes down again next year.

Hi , yes was rather taken aback by their message this morning saying that they cannot release car from their compound , get car ready for pick up next week etc until paid for in full. Its Stoneacre MG so not a back street outfit from my understanding and research. Payment will be by debit card.

I would be ringing them and making sure the message came from them. There are plenty of scammers about trying to part us from our money by email scams
