New panel gap - how much to fix?

It’s hard to tell probably from the photo, but is the front wing dented, or is it just a reflection ?.
The bumper will flex a long way before it actually causes permanent damage, it has a memory so will take a fair amount to break it.
The gap between the bonnet and in the front wing has definitely closed up.
Also the bonnet edge does not align correctly with the tip of the wing.
I think the wing has been pushed in and back by the glancing impact and bent its location brackets maybe .
So the bumper cover is trying to return to its normal position, but the wing remains in its relocated position under tension.

The headlights are in the 300 quid range , but the bumper does need removing to fit it . Do you own or lease the MG , will they ( if applicable ) have some say in the procedure? Difficult to say whether to go the MG dealer route or decent local body shop . Commiserations , hassle you certainly didn't expect or want , at least the other party would appear honest but I think the individual parts and labour needed will soon tally up to a quite reasonable amount, or unreasonable depending on how you look at it. Might be a good idea to make sure your assailant really does have insurance? and is not pulling a fast one?

Yep, thanks for asking. The insurers nominated garage are collecting it tomorrow lunchtime.

Should have asked how long they expect to have it for.

Might be nice to have the big car with big battery for a long trip in two weeks time, but it might be fixed quicker than that.

Nice to hear how insurance should work together with all involved for an acceptable outcome for all concerned.

First impression of the 5008...

Big and not great for visibility, though thankfully reversing camera is very hi-res.

Barely fit in the space in the car park at work.

Quiet and smooth.

Don't know how to reset the trip meter (it is on 3,000 miles), so the efficiency is an average of lots of drivers - 3.3. It did tell me I got 4m/kwh on the last little leg of the journey, though.

Some controls seem unnecessarily complicated compared to the MG4, but I suppose it is about what you are used to.
