Folks,
If you haven’t already seen it already, the government has introduced new legislation regarding public EV charge points covering pricing and payment methods, availability and customer support as well as open data.
Key points include clearly displayed/available pricing per kWh, contactless payment down to 8kW, moves to rationalise apps and RFID cards so one app/card covers many operators’ charge points and some stringent availability criteria.
Generally good news but I would have liked to see contactless required on new sub-8kW chargers as these account for almost two thirds of the charger population. At the London EV Show where there were several suppliers of hardware and back-office services with retrofit prices starting from £300 so for new installations this would be even cheaper.

Shame it only applies to new chargers installed a year from now, but still good to see.
