Well yes for the difference of less than half a pence per kWh I was treating them the same for simplicity but of course you are correct

That's definitely true in principle but the EV tariffs on Octopus are the same day rate as their standard variable rates (less than 30p per Kwh for me in W Yorks) and THEN you get your cheap off-peak overnight / charging rates

Its a bit more expensive in the London area. I'm also with Octopus and m yday rate is currently 45p night rate 16.3p. But this is about to come down a bit.
