New version of iSmart on Apple is in km

It is now as bad as the other software on the car. I used the app a lot, now I hate it. I cycled through languages but it is stuck on Km. A piece of total crap. It should be renamed to iStupid MG. Now my car's flagging up 20 error messages when i power up, most of the systems like autohold, steering centring, ACC etc are no longer working. I'm thinking of selling the pos now even though I'd lose a fortune.

The thing I notice about the latest iteration of the (Android) app is that it never gets my car status ... i.e. it always says UNKNOWN rather than PARKED. (It gets everything else OK, like scanning the car and getting the location).

Mine is the same - though now it will not do a scan or show the full battery status either! The location is correct. It really can a bit haphazard as to if it works or not.

Mine's saying "unknown" too. It's also not scanning the car, but since the car hasn't moved since Tuesday it may be half asleep.

A quick unlock / lock with the key will bring it back to life to see how many kilometers we have remaining...

I'm going out at three anyway. But the car does seem to go to sleep and ignore the app within about 24 to 36 hours.

Try changing language to something like French and then back to English.

Nope... doesn't work here!

I've tried updating the app, re-installing, and changing my password... all to no avail, still locked into KMs - but the car is still showing Range in good old Miles, so it's not a real problem (and I can convert KMs to Miles with not too much trouble...)

You could write a review about the app on the Apple App Store. I’ve found this works on other apps, and if enough negative comments are made about specifics app updates that have bugs in them, a further update is quick to follow ?

Well despite my earlier post I am now affected !!

Logged onto Ismart this morning and I was logged out and need to login again. Needless to say everything is in km (and true km at that - not the miles figure followed by km.

Written my 1 star comment in the Apple App Store about this and saw loads of similar comments. New comments take a few days to get through so I suggest we all bombard the the app comments with 1 star negative reviews regarding this update spelling out the problems. Hopefully the MG app developer wil do something to fix it and respond to the comments !!

Do people have the correct setting in their iphones? A long shot to check, probably doesn’t use this but worth checking - iphone - settings - general - language & region - measurement system - UK

Yep, mine was (and previously) set to UK and still getting km

I've also got a cheap Android phone and downloaded ISmart on this. Once logged in I could change to Imperial Units and get miles - so this is the feature missing from the updated Iphone app.

I was until I opened the app today and it said I needed to login again ? All range numbers are in km now reagardless of language chosen and all ranges state km.

Do your numbers state range in miles but letters in km ?

Yes, the numbers are always in miles. but the word kilometre appears if I select the French language. If I select Italian I get the word Miglia.
And I tried logging out and back in again both when I was prompted a few days ago and again yesterday just to see what would happen.

They still can't get the correct seat to heat up via the app , really hopeless.

Same here it’s in Km now. Not discovered how to change it back yet.
