Onboard nav guidance

Couple of times now just after using onboard nav system for guidance to a previously unvisited destination, I've got a " lost GPS signal". The first time I didn't fully understand what that meant until it started telling me to make random turns and got me completely lost. Anyone else noticed this?

Not really answering your question but I stopped using onboard satnavs a long time ago.

I find using the CarPlay and the phone sat nav so much more reliable. Also constantly updates with new road layouts and traffic.
