It has to be manually turned OFF in the head unit in order for the Sat nav to work correctly.

Or, you get a firmware update so that Dead Reckoning works as it's supposed to like on any other car. For example, so the sat nav updates in a tunnel.

MG/SAIC, is it really that hard to manufacture the cars with the latest firmware? Other manufacturers seem to cope, possibly VW excepted.

To the best of my knowledge, there has not been a firm ware upgrade released by MG to solve the problem in the U.K.
Unless somebody can provide evidence to the better that is ?.

Oh. Well, there well and truly should be by now!

Perhaps because there is a workaround that preserves 99% functionality, there is little incentive to fix it??
