I'm approaching one year with the MG4 SE LR. Mileage is 6,200 and the first service is due. The car has been trouble-free. In the summer, I get 5.4m/KwH driving my wife to work and back, a trip of 9 miles taking me over the Portsdown Hill. Total range in summer around 280 miles, and about 220 in winter over mixed routes from a 60KwH usable capacity battery. I usually restrict my speed to 65 mph on motorways both because of increased range and I find it less tiring.

The forward visibility is superb, brake feel and accelerator response are excellent. I don't use any driver aids apart from leaving the Automatic Emergency Brake set to low sensitivity, just in case a kid runs out in front of me etc. I've not had any false triggers. Apart from the extra width it is the easiest car to drive that I've owned.

I can adjust fan speed and temp with buttons on the steering wheel, but need to go into the menus if I want to change the exterior vent openings and direction (windscreen, cabin, feet). I've not found the lack of a rear wiper to be a problem. A reversing camera would be handy for tight spots. The lack of passenger grab handles is an issue for elderly or disabled passengers who use them to help exit.

I've not had any problems charging either in the house or on the road. So no regrets and I wouldn't go back to an ICE car.

Have you got it booked in with Richmond on a low milage service or have you gotva service plan?
If it anything like Botley they have quite a wait.

I have a service plan. One of the reasons I took it out was that I thought it would be easier to get the car booked in. Having said that, there seemed to be lots of free workshop slots at the moment. Maybe the electric car grant debacle has slowed down sales and therefore also workshop jobs on preparing new cars.

Yes to all of these observations. We've just had our second service a couple of months back (also on an initial service plan) at about 18k miles. They also updated the software, and, at last, all the little workarounds, for our roads anyway, are no longer required. Some nice-to-haves, like cruise control increase on the button in 1mph steps, are really helpful. Cruise control making the car virtually come to a stop on corners is no longer an issue - I recently did most of the open-road sections of the trip from Inverness to Ullapool on cruise control, an impossibility before.
These days we no longer bother putting the car into Eco mode. For our trip into the village, a very hilly trip, we find it actually is more efficient. I may go back to Eco mode in winter, where the acceleration control might be wise.
We have a holiday abroad planned for later in the year for which we've hired a car. It'll be an ICE car and neither of us are looking forward to the change of mindset!

We're on nearly 24000 miles after 2 and a bit years.
Only issue has been to replace a fuse for the 12v power socket.
2 services at £180 a piece in the good Coventry dealer.
Original brakes and tyres still going strong.
Lka and front collision system are the only things that knock down our enjoyment a tad (even after updates).
Average summer range about 4.3 miles per kW, winter around 3.8.
Could be better, but at 7p per kW it's pretty irrelevant.

I drove 256 miles on Friday from Portsmouth to the Welsh borders and back on one charge. Had 9% left when I got back. Overall efficiency 4.5 m/KwH. I drove conservatively the last 20 miles just to be safe. I had the blowers on or the windows open rather then the aircon. Not sure if that was a good idea or not because of the increased drag, but for some of the journey I had a passenger who gets car sick and who insisted on having the windows down.
