My dealer has just confirmed that his allocation of cars is on the Titus, which will (finally!) dock at Southampton on Monday. He'll let me know if he got hold of my blue Trophy on Wednesday or Thursday.

My dealer has two Trophy LR’s in Volcano Orange arriving in 3 weeks. One of them is mine. I spoke with them this morning and he knew nothing of any “manufacturer” treatment that was not optional. He did offer the Supaguard (which I won’t be having) at £400. Are they pulling a fast one here you think?

Quite possibly ?? something to discuss on pick-up I think, about trust etc.

Call me an idiot (guess most of you do already) but I have cancelled my company car lease and asked for it to be picked up on 4th October. Luckily, I do have my Hobby car (Zed) which I can rely on for business use for a short time, although I have had to re-book her re-spray in for 3rd October , to 4th November. I felt that i should book some space in due to MG being utterly Shyte when it comes to delivering customers orders.

Starting to feel like Christmas is coming early for me……BTW……Love Christmas more than anyone else!! Kids and grandkids love Santa Harry 17!!! ? ho ho ho ?

I think MG will adopt a cautious approach here !.
Look what happened to the lease companies on the ZS EV Gen 2 model !.
High demand and short supply, left the dealers supplying their own customer orders first.
I anticipate a similar situation with the MG4 where dealer customers will take priority.

And so they should ?

I was looking to change my EV, and actually put my name down on a few including Ora Cat, The SMART #1, GV60, Nissan Ariya and the VW ID BUZZ.
Then my brother asked me to check out the MG4, which to be honest wasn’t under my radar at all, and I suspect a lot of people who’s looking for an EV would not have thought of MG either?
After watching a few reviews, I’ve decided to order from a dealer last week, and to my surprise, I was the first one on their list, that’s why it made me think MG wasn’t in many potential buyers shopping list.
But I am confident that this MG4 would make a lot of drivers take notice!

I think we're the only ones going for Trophy blue. I was/am still in two minds about but see the Whatcar review helped me think it's not a bad choice. Red does look lovely though!

We've been told the first batch will be roughly 50% SE SR, 10% SE LR & 40% Trophy

here are the prices in Germany. if this year is still delivered, there is still a subsidy of 9570 euros (6000 state, 3570 dealers). The price is Netto plus 19%tax

I was told that for the first orders arriving this year, MG have “manufacturer professionally” pre-treated the paintwork, it will have car mats, and a type 2 charging cable also - all for an extra £498. Apparently it is not optional, but I probably would have paid for paint protection at a local dealer, and I need a type 2 cable to charge at work for free. And I always buy mats so ?‍ Was happy to pay the extra.

My dealer hasn't suggested this is the case at all. They are only dealer options.

I think we all know this is the dealer trying to make a few extra pounds. Some dealers are discounting by a little bit if you search on a well known car sales site.

So having now had confirmation that the MG4 Orange Trophy will now be mine in the next few weeks, I asked if the dealership had anyone lined up to take over the order for the ZS EV LRT in Dynamic Red that I have on order.

No was the answer, and he will be happy to transfer this order to anyone I can put him in touch with. The car was ordered in Feb 22, and will have the Pano roof.

If anyone is interested in taking this order on, by all means PM me and I will give you the contact details ?

Are you still going to be the first owner to get the OZEV grant or will the new purchaser be the first owner but not benefit from the grant? If you are willing to share, what's the price from the dealer?
