OVO Have Kicked Me Off Anytime

Before anyone switches check with the EV install team at OVO 0330 3035059 if it is a recent install might give you a small gift then wait it out until your fixed ends (assuming you were like me and fixed last year once Martin Lewis advised was worth doing (still on cheaper rates until end of August so extra cost has been slightly offset) plus they may give you a special if was recent like I got.
 
I mean when you get the email it says about switching to Octopus in the links OVO sent out so at least they let us all know and yeah its a hassle but only takes about 20 mins in total to get switched over when you are ready to do that. Also if on a fixed not due to end now they will waive any penalty fees if necessary.

They’ll refund I less the power I use meantime in TEN DAYS !!
I asked about a goodwill gesture to cover my out of pocket expenses but they’ve never even heard of such a nicety.
Roll on Saturday when I move to Octopus, and Monday when I can instigate the ev charging set up.

I'm in the same boat and am also swapping to Octopus.
I was told that I couldn't set up Octopus Intelligent Go until 2 weeks after the changeover date.
Were you told different?

No exactly the same, two weeks but I can contact them on Monday to commence setting it all up ready.
 
You can generally switch to the Go tariffs more or less straight away as soon as they can see your half hourly readings, next day in my case. The 2 weeks thing is just a coverall in case it takes longer than expected.

Let's hope Octopus don't go down the Enode route too then 🤞
I found out they already did!

They use Enode to simplify support for the devices it supports, but it is integrated within Octopus’ own “Kraken” technology, and that also supports additional things not supported by Enode. They are still selling and installing Ohme chargers with no signs of stopping.

Makes OVO look even more pathetic and incompetent with this move.
