Hello

I've always considered myself a great driver and parallel parking has never been an iasue for me. But owning the Cyberster, I can't for the life of me parallel park it gracefully.

I've noticed the side mirror is not exactly wide angled, so it does not exactly show the side of the car nor the wheels while parallel parking.

Anyone else have the same experience? I have started to use the camera top-view while parking, but this is not ideal or natural.

Please advice!

I have found it easier to park the Cyberster than my TT RS.

You can use the cameras or tilt your wing mirrors. Would be nice if mirrors could be set to tilt automatically when reversing, some cars do this.

Yeah the side mirrors are restricted in terms of how far wide they go. 360 cameras are great for wheels. Save you a 120 quid repair Bill on 1 wheel

To the forum. 🙂👍

Use the doors!

I only parallel park with the drivers side on the curb. Then I’ll use the cameras to get me roughly in place and then open the drivers door so I can see how far away from the curb I am.

Then I’ll finish the manoeuvre using the camera for front/back distance and the open door to judge how far away from the kerb I am.

I don't think the cameras are good for parallel parking. They don't show the rear wheels.

And I don't want to keep adjusting the side mirrors or opening the doors, it really is not seamless.

Has anyone found a good side mirror position? Or maybe bought a wide angle stick-on for the side mirror?

Maybe the top-view camera can be made bigger so it is easier to see? Or found a solution for auto-tilting on reverse?

Any other tips?

Well the camera facing the nearside and offside rear wheel is important for not scuffing the wheel when the angle is too sharp on reverse. If you cant use the cameras and mirrors or extreme case have the door open for drivers side kerb parking then might have to get an MG3 instead.....👀

The side camera does not show the rear wheel at all, what am I missing?

How do you know the position of your rear wheel based on camera or mirror?

Am I to understand that all Cyberster-owners either adjust side mirrors or open their doors every time they want to parallel park?

I find the 360 camera perfect for parallel parking. I use the passenger side mirror as well. I've had no trouble. I also reverse into a parking spot at work between 2 concrete pillars. The mirrors work well for that. The top is usually down, which also helps
