Plastic panels damaged whilst cleaning - advice please!

They just need resurfacing, not replacement. The hand use version of Farecla G3 will cut that back to a good state. Then finish off with Farecla G10.

If you neighbour really was a professional valeter, he'd know exactly how to rectify that and would have done so!
Agree an easy fix he should have known anyway tbh.

Indeed so. Suffice to say I'm not impressed
 
The company that makes Diamondbrite have agreed to foot the bill for the damage to my panels, because they assured the valeter it would be ok to use.

I plan to get some polish to try the above first.

...to be honest I was looking for a rake in the garage to clear leaves and found the stuff, did the other side first which was worse (and couldnt believe it), so grabed the camera! - cant believe how well it turned out in 2 mins 😁
