Post a Pic

Yes, I've been on the wheel a number of years ago, it's so well balanced it's driven by a 1.5kw motor.😲. The cafe is good as well.😋 Exhilarating ride, I have video somewhere🤔
Well, I found the video and it was 10 years ago in July😱 how time flies 😏. I don't want to upload it as it is nearly 400mb and 4 minutes long, it might crash the forum😱. It's the ride up to the top canal. I took some on the return journey with the boat going right up to the edge of the gondola. Spectacular views. I took a screenshot from the video, Falkirk Wheel at the top Jul'15.webp
Wish I could join you, would love a ride on the wheel.
decrep, here's a link to U tube with loads about it, some better videos than mine too.

We are heading up on Wednesday this week and it looks like the weather is going to do 'a Scotland' on us 😀 , well it wouldn't be Britain if you didn't get wet.
Hopefully be at the Kelpies for about 2:30pm ish for a wander round and a coffee. Planning to stop at Tebay Northbound on the way up approx 75 miles in and 2 hours into journey then rest of journey up approx 2 and a half hours for the remaining 144 miles.
I was not planning on charging on the way up but we'll see how the weather and speed affects the range.
Visiting Stirling and the Castle on the Thursday and then The Wheel for a boat trip on the Friday morning before setting off home and stopping at Tebay Southbound on the way home.
So that’s a Forum coffee meet at the Kelpies then 👍 😂
(sorry Mrs Gomev - only joking)

OK that confirms a general call up for KELPIES KOFFEE then 👍 2:30 pm Wednesday 3rd September.
Looks like rain will be the order of the day so be prepared for that, there is a walk from the car parks.

Look forward to some pics of this.
But I'm afraid a 10 hour round trip, for a cup of coffee, means I'll give it a miss. 🙂👍

Just watched Judith on the forecast and it will be heaving it down here in the morning, but drier further north. Enjoy your stay and the spectacular Kelpies.

For those wanting nicer weather and coffee, how about , Brive le Gaillarde , lighthouse sometime after? Why? if someone can tell me there is a lighthouse in Brive , the Atlantic is 200+ kms away , I would be interested. Er, erm , there are some lovely gites with EV charging not too far away if I may be so bold! Bring your own crumpets, plus a few extra. :D 🐕🐱🐑🐓 I know, shameless.

Grand invitation sir thank you.
I particularly liked the bit about bringing a few crumpets by way of payment 🤩

I'll do my bestest to get there for 2:30, but it might be nearer 3 if I stop for coffee en-route and/or charge too.
Google says just short of 5 hour drive time non-stop so will try and set off by 9am. (any earlier and it's rush hour madness so no quicker)

You are going to need an EU export exemption licence for that many crumpets , is the Berlingo big enough? As an introductory offer 2 crumpets = 1 kWh of electrons. And they could be Aldi/ Lidl crumpets , desperate times , desperate measures. :D It's three years since the last crumpet was defrosted , the scratching has eased somewhat but the memory lingers.

I have actually been to Brive-le-G... many years ago. Isn't it a water-tower thinly disguised as a lighthouse?
