I don’t think any of the UK spec MGs support three phase charging so a single phase cable is all you need - even for a 3 phase enabled charger.

Thanks all. Great input. So it is logically as I thought. It is purely the demand of the vehicle as opposed to the output of the charging station. My fears of melt down have gone !

Three phase is a type of supply single phase for homes and 3 phase commercials units as rule of thumb. If charging at supper market or pod point you need your own cable which cost about a £100 up. Make sure you get a type 2 cable see blow. I have a 5mt single phase 32 amp is most common in use.

Interesting - I would have thought you would get 7kW from a 22 kW 3 phase.
