Random charging level

Is anyone experiencing this. The car and the app are both set to 80% but the car charges to anything it wants to about the 80% mark. E.g. I set 80% in the morning, car stops at 85%, sometimes 90%.

Are the off peak times stored by the smart wall box, conflicting with the times set in the head unit of the car ?.
Try turning off the off peak settings in the wall box and let the car do the work.
Also, in the head unit settings under the charging screen, there is an option that when selected, will allow the car to continue charging AFTER the off peak times have been reached.
You don’t want this, as you will charging on your much higher daily tariff !.

I let the wall box do everything apart from the charging level. This has only started in the last few weeks and I've had the car 18 months. I was wondering if there had been any update to the software.

Can you turn "off" the preset timer in the wall box, therefore making it a dumb unit ?.
If so, check that the off peak times in the head unit car are 100% correct, then recheck your charge level is set to 80% and try that.
Don't bother using the App.
At least this will prove if you have a conflict.
