Rear Seat Belt Warning

I understand rear seat belt warnings are for safety, but in my country, they're not legally required in the back. Could you please advise if there's a way to disable the warning when someone is sitting in the rear seats?

I don't think so. But is it really a chore for them to wear them? In the event of an accident your front seat passengers occupants may be eternally grateful.

Funny how we rarely bothered about this in the UK before it was mandated.
I now consider myself better educated so I'd never allow a rear passenger to go unbelted regardless of the law.

If you really don't want to use the rear seat belts, get some of those clips that plug in to the socket which prevents the warning. You can get them on AliExpress, Amazon might have them too.

We now leave the seatbelts plugged in all the time because our dog was triggering the warning beep when moving around on the back bench.

The rear seatbelts are there for the safety of rear seated passengers. And you want to know how to avoid using the seatbelts and stop the alerts, alarms by not using the seatbelts!! Sheesh.

The rear seatbelts are there for the safety of rear seated passengers. And you want to know how to avoid using the seatbelts and stop the alerts, alarms by not using the seatbelts!! Sheesh.

And the safety of the people in the front seats! (see the video above if you haven't already).

I've driven in Malta. Kappara junction roundabout (which now seems to have a flyover making it much safer) was the scariest junction I've ever faced.

Not sure what the word "dog" has to do with the original post? The Op was saying in their country it's not illegal for someone in the rear seat to not use the seatbelt. Someone, aka a human not a dog. My response was why if you have a safety feature that saves lives would you avoid using it and want a method to shut a warning alarm up??? A dog not properly restrained in a way to avoid it become a missile in an accident is a whole other discussion!!

Sorry mate. I was reading other threads which were about dog moving around on back seats. But obviously the solution is simple: the dog lead gadget goes in one slot and the others seatbelts are plugged in. Not rocket science
