Rear shocks

I’ve just had my rear shocks diagnosed for replacement after 5000miles, anyone had the same problem?

Only seen mention of a front needing replaced due to failure

2 Months, so far, wait for spare parts. Ridiculous.

Doesn’t sound too promising, apparently my shocks aren’t in stock and have been ordered from abroad.

Were they leaking?

If you search for 'knocking' you'll find a couple of other examples like this one.

Possibly a bad batch, or just fitted incorrectly. Seems a fairly low occurrence given the number of vehicles made/sold around the world, but definitely something to be aware of / listen out for.
