Rear Tyre excessive wear on inside of both rear tyres.

Just been noted by the garage at service, on my PFL MG5. No heavy loads in the back .......... oh yes! The dog 40kg!
Rotating the tyres might be the best option. It is recommended for safety that Tyres should be changed after 5 years use, no matter what the tread wear shows.

Anyone else had uneven wear on the rears tyres of their MG5?

Had the issue very noticeably on my first MG5 but I had been carrying heavy loads in the boot and you could actualy see the wheels angled inwards at the top. I moved the load forwards and the next set of tyrees were better but still wore more on the inside edge. I put it down to the car not having its suspension upgraded to account for the battery weight.

That makes sense! Thanks. Still think the car is cracking!

I am getting 5 to 10 years when I check lots of classics live in Garages with no UV hitting them so I wouldn't be changing them at 5 years and possibly under 5k miles

So is there any wear on rear components? If not are you carrying over the legal load weights for the vehicle?
No wear that I can see and the car is not heavily loaded. It could be the suspension has not been altered after conversion to electric. The car is not built on a dedicated electric platform.
It is just something to keep an eye on if you own the MG5.
My rear tyres were also cracking, so it is time to replace for safety reasons alone.

You could perhaps and see if there is an aftermarket rear adjustable control arms for the mg5 that way you could adjust the camber and eliminate the tyre wear perhaps just an idea ?

Ignore that it's a torsion bar set up non adjustable
