Thanks for the replies. It is a 2021 Mg5 Exclusive EV. I'm not very interested in the auto dimming, and would rather have a less obstructed view.
I removed mine the day I got the car and 4 years later it has never been replaced. What I found to improve rear view visibility was to remove the rear middle headrest. I had no problem with the rear view mirror itself
Agreed 100%. I've not measured it exactly but suspect that the positioning of this is designed for LHD. I'm also definitely not as good as getting lined up properly when reverse parking in the MG5 than I used to be and I don't think it's just age...Part of your problem is that behind the mirror is a ***king great box that houses the rain sensors and blocks just as much of your view as the mirror does. I have the same problem and hate having to bend down and peer under it every time I want to turn left.
Same here . Not so much of a problem in my ZSI removed mine the day I got the car and 4 years later it has never been replaced.
There is something odd about the MG5, I always had problems getting the damn thing straight when reversing into a car park bay. Whenever I thought it was straight it was way off.Agreed 100%.
