Rear window heating

I wonder if this is a manufacturer fault or feature? I have noticed that if I set the rear window heat on, it clears most of the window except a good strip below the wiper ( but obviously on the inside). If it is unexpected, I will ask Tuskies to book a repair. What's the general opinion here?

Bottom couple of rows are your aerial. Many posts regarding this.

The first question I had for Tuskies was if the model came with a wiper. That was my red line. If the car had turned up without one, I would have returned it.

I'm pleased I don't have one ..not missed it and on my other cars was a pain having to replace the blade through lack of use.

I live in a rural area where there is a lot of dust and mud kicked up from passing tractors, potato lorries etc. A rear wiper is very useful for dealing with this - as it is I have to clean the car more often!

I have a wiper in my MG4. But it cleans a very small area in the middle of rear window. So I consider it useless.

It probably clears the area obscured by the middle headrest. Which in my case lives inside a cupboard somewhere, so I can at least see out the back a bit.

I had confidently booked my SE LR in for a warranty issue for the rear screen heater until I saw this:

Better to hear from you guys though, because I think I would have struggled to believe that from the dealer. Especially as it's 2nd hand and not bought from them...
