Remote defrost and heating not working

I bought my FL MG5 SE in September 2024. During last winter the remote defrost and heating never worked from the ISMART App. It turns the fans on but it’s always cold. The defrost/heating works fine when I’m driving the car.
I contacted the email in the App and the reply said take it to the dealer and see if there is a software update and if not replace the Tbox. The dealer (Macklin Edinburgh) had it for a week and “claimed” to have done it. However, it still didn’t work and actually the Service Manager was so vague that I doubt they did anything!
In the current cold spell I still have the same problem despite the App update. I did wonder if the issue is because I have the SE with no climate control - there is only basic heating controls and no internal temperature display. The inside and outside temperature on the App always just say “-.-“ despite refreshes. All other remote features of the App work fine.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and have suggestions or a fix please?

My 2023 FL Trophy does the same thing if you use the High button in app, climate control works but on low setting. If you just press the Front Window button it defrosts the windshield and runs the climate control at 28C. Thinks it’s an app bug.

Thanks but the front window defrost button only blows cold air too.

I have the SE and can’t get the defrost to work using the app.
I’ve tried setting the temperature in the app, manually setting the heater to max in the car and still when I press the front button in the app it just blows cold air that eventually clears just the bit of windscreen where the air blows.
Pressing the rear window button does nothing.
I’d put it down to it being the SE.
I just start up and put everything on max manually and it clears quickly, but would be nice to do it remotely

Thanks - sounds like it’s a problem with the SE as maybe the interior temp sensor has been deleted as it has no climate control. I did ask the App designers and the dealer if this was the case with the SE but got no reply.
I think I did manage to work around it last year once but maybe this was when the car was on charge? I can’t remember what I did!
It’s annoying as it would be a very useful feature if it worked!

I used to be able to remotely set the temp to high, defrost, change the tempsetting using the sliding bar etc but since a software update at service it will only remotely set to 17 deg. Trophy on 73 plate. It's going into dealers next month for them to - hopefully - fix
