I have an HS PHEV TROPHY 2025. I have used the remote heating a few times in the morning recently but found that although plugged into the power supply it still takes power from the battery and reduces the full 75 mile range. Should the car prioritise taking power down the cable and mains supply over the car battery.

I would think it's normal to heat the car from the battery, but I honestly can't imagine there being much difference between what goes in from charging, and what is used from heating.

If you start heating on a full charge, I'm sure if you continue charging for for a few minutes after ending the heating, it will be back up to full charge.

This is all assuming you have a 7kW home charger.

My charging on Octopus Intelligent Go finishes at 5.30am. By the time I leave home at 6.30 I pre heat to 23 degrees for 10 mins and put my heated seat on full, it uses 2 miles of the 75 available!

I think 10 minutes to heat up to 23º is worth a 2 mile sacrifice. (y)

Hi
By the time you use the heating the charger would have finished and the timer would have it off. You find you need to make sure the wall box is able supply power to the car. If a Ohme box it needs to be set to Max charge then it Wii take power from the home and not the battery. At the end you must set back to schedule or it will not charge the car if times are set or if octopuses tells it to charge.
