Got a loan 5 while my 4 is in the dealer (again).
It’s new, but the old model.
Noticed a scraping noise from the front tyres/wheels when halfway between straight and full lock.
Forward or reverse.
I’m not reporting it, not my car and not my problem, just curious as to what it would be.
It’s got tiny wheels, I wouldn’t have thought any clearance issues.

It is always worth reporting an issue like that so it might help others from experiencing an issue with the car.

It's a common issue with MG5's, tell the dealer about it and let them decide what to do.

I had similar - very alarming in an otherwise very quiet car. It went away, but was probably grit trapped between disc and callipers.

Tested it today, it’s not a tyre related issue as it makes the noise when the car is stationary.
Turning the wheel lock to lock gives a horrible dry scraping/creaking noise.
Clearly steering rack or some sort of joint related.
Not impressive.
