Screen keeps saying DISCONNECT and stops charging at 70%

I'm starting to get really angry (don't make angry, you wouldn't loke it when in angry ?.)
I got my car on Monday, a 22 plate MGzs. The guy didn't really explain much but I thought I could work it out (I didnt.)
I went to a lidl to use their charging points.. I used everything last Tuesday. Had credit.
I put the charger into the car socket
It turned blue, I went back to my car. After while it says fully charged when it's only 70% charge!
Also it makes cont þmqu6????????¿?<⁵and

Check the charge settings have not been set at 70 %
