I have just been on the phone with my local MG dealer and they have said as long as my service is done soon the warranty will be valid

Well I’m not sure what more I can do apart from take their word for it and then if I ever need a warranty claim hope it’s honoured.

Just ask for that confirmation in writing, not just verbal.

Send an email and asked them to confirm you phone call dated so-and-so, in which the following was said; (list the things you want confirmed here)

Then all they have to do is email back saying “yeah sure” and that should do. Make it easy for them to confirm and then you have something in writing to back you up if someone else at the dealership changes their mind.

According to the Maintenance Schedule (step 37) there should be an annual corrosion/cosmetic inspection.

In Perth Australia. I had mine "serviced" at 2,000km. They said bring it back after 2 years or 40,000kms, whichever comes first. Don't think it'll be 40,000 kms....

UK servicing is very different to Down Under servicing - they like to fleece us here.
