TIA

Standard range or Long range model ?.
If standard range, you are unable to set the charging level lower than 100%.
Long range, yes you can.
It can be set either in the head unit or the App.
Different battery chemistry on each model is the reasons.

In the app, if your car supports it, you go to the tab where you can see charging status and battery status, press the "diamond" in the top right corner and there is the options for charge %, timed charging and timed battery heating

If you have the one with the 50KW batteri, i suspect you will only have the 2 latter options

Out of interest, who is your electricity supplier?

I have had my ZS Standard Range for 3 years now and I always charge to 100% (I do about 120-150 miles a day as my office is a 100 mile round trip away).

I am with Octopus Energy and use the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff which gives cheap charging overnight. I have an Ohme Pro charger.

I don't touch the iSmart app or the car's system to mess with the charging settings. I only use the Ohme app to set how much I want to top up the car with. It has never failed and uses the cheaper time for charging, usually 2330-0530hrs.

Are you able to set it to 80% in the car?
As yet have not tried only had vehicle 2 weeks and it's takin me ages to get used to everything

Also with Octopus but only octopus go as octopus doesn't support my Rolec QuBev charger I use the Qub app to set the schedule

I guess I have the 50 kw as I only have the latter 2 options

I have nearly the same setup, except a Zappi charger. I never touch the MG charge settings or the Zappi settings, I just use the Intelligent Octopus Go app. Using this, you just set the charge you want to add and the time you want it ready by. You're then not restricted to the 2330-0530 time slot, Octopus will do the scheduling for you and can be any time, eg a couple of days ago it started charging from 2130-2200, 2230-0100, 0200-0400 and 0600-0800. When they schedule it you always only get charged 7p for the energy whatever time it is. A couple of times I've come down in the morning at 0730 and remembered I hadn't charged but needed to go somewhere in the afternoon, so set the parameters to add 50% and be ready for 1100 (the latest you can set) so it created a schedule, started charging straight away and so I topped up with 3.5hrs of charge, at 7p rate.
Honestly, if your Ohme is compatible set up Intelligent Octopus Go, it's great.

Indeed, I usually plug in about 1600-1700hrs, set how much charge I need and by what time and I'll get early slots too if the grid allows lol. Very similar to your setup. 😁

I guess I have the 50 kw as I only have the latter 2 options
Standard range models are designed to charge the traction battery 🔋 to 100% every single time you want to take on some extra range.
Only the long range model offers the ability to adjust the level / percentage required.
Long range owners will normally only charge to 80% giving around 200+ miles of predicted range, then charging to 100% for longer trips.

The 50 is the standard range so yeah standard range = LFP battery = Can be charged to 100% every time without problem
