Hi
My ZS long range doesn't seem to slow charge faster than 3 kW, I was expecting to get around 10kW (this is Danish car version, not UK) .
Attached some pictures with the cable and charger.
Do I need another cable?
What is the speed that you guys are charging with?

Hi, can you take a picture of the pins in the cable connector and on the car, please.

2 questions is it definitely a 3 Phase charger as only see 2 outputs?
Is the cable definitely a 3 Phase cable?
Sounds like the car may only be getting 1 phase

Cable looks to be this one from Thansen

If so, it's only 1 phase.

1 phase means max 3,6 kW.

For 11 kW you need a 3 phase cable (3*3,6 = 10,8 kW)

The cable supports 32A = 7,2 kW, but the ZS only supports 3,6 kW on each phase, and the charger is a 11 KW 3 phase charger in the car.

I bought this cable, it is 3 phase

Have not had a chance to use it yet, until now i have only done 2 super charges, and the rest has been done at home, slowcharging at 2½ kW from my solar panels, but it should be able to do 11 kW charging if the chargepoint supports it.

3 Things govern how fast you can charge with a "slow" charge cable.

1. How much the charge point is able to deliver
2. How much current your cable is rated for (It is coded to tell the charge point / car what it can handle)
3. The AC Charger in the car.

Essentially the lowest "performing" part of the 3, determines the speed.

A 16amp 3 phase should be suitable as well and probably easyer to store and cost less?
In my case, the 16A cables were more expensive for some reason, so i just went with the 32A

Might come in handy sometime down the road, if i swap the ZS for something that might support 22KW charging :)

I am the same I got a new 32amp 3 phase for £50 even though I am in the UK with a 1 phase car it's the most universal future proof cable and at that price I don't mind the bit extra weight

I just managed to get more pictures.
Right now I'm trying another charger, but is the same.
The charger has 2 outputs on the label because 2 cars can charge from it.
Next step is to try another cable from a friend.

The only thing I can spot on pics is that compared to other lead is yours looks thin? Suggesting the cable is only 1 phase but the plugs look OK for 3 phase so the cable it's self could be the limiting Factor here

Good eye
I didn't notice that, but you are right, is thinner.

So it's either a fake 32amp 3 phase or miss labelled 32amp 1 phase
It's can't be a 16 amp 3 phase as you would still get 11kw
That's my own theory and I could be wrong but gives you something to look at

Just for reference my 3 phase is about 19mm ish and my 1 phase is 14mm ish

measurements are going to vary brand to brand

@Enucos quick question is that wall box a 11kw? Edit sorry my bad just remembered it says 32a so 22kw that sucks if your cable is 32a single phase as if u visit the UK you will be limited to 3kw

The charger is 22kw, and yhea, I'm limited to only 3kw
I will measure the cable thickness tommorow

Your absolutely right
3 phase says 5x6mm1x0.5mm
1 phase says 3x6mmx1x0.5mm
There my 32amp cables

In picture IMG_20220508_141951.jpg I can see what looks like the end of the cable. It says L1, L2 & L3 for the 3 phases but I can't see if there are pins in these holes. If there are pins in L2 and L3 you can see if they are connected to the L2 & L3 at the other end of the cable if you have a multimeter that measures resistance or conductivity (ohms). Only do this when it's unplugged of course.

The thing is the 1st part of the pins have a non conductive coating in black so don't show up very well I am sure I can see them when I zoom in L1 and L2 easier than L3 but all seam there

I did not manage to measure with a multimeter, but I took more pictures with the cable, I'm not sure how to read that and what it means : 3G6.0mm+2x0.5mm 450/750V
Is only 15 mm, so probably is not a 3 phase.
