I was told that the mg5 is not allowed to install a tow bar. I think that towing big stuff is not possible. However, is it ok to just install a bike carrier towbar?

That will be the face-lift version, not the long-range or standard range ones in the uk

I don't think any of the UK versions are rated to tow anything. Because of this I don't think anyone would fit a tow bar regardless of what you use it for. They would be going against manufacturers data and would be liable.

I'm still confused! I'm pretty sure you can't fit a tow bar to the MG5 but a local MG dealership has just confirmed you can. I'd be looking to tow a small trailer so nothing major. Does anyone else have any further info please? Much appreciated.
