Software updates

I purchased a mg5 22 plate car august last year. In my ownership I have had it serviced by a respectable company but I haven't taken it back to MG for any work. I can only charge my car on public chargers that go to 50kw Max. Is that normal or is my car needing a software update.
Any advice appreciated

No that's not normal it should charge on any charger regardless of the power of the charger as it's the car that regulates the power it can take. So on a 350kW or a 50kW the car will take what it wants/ is capable of up to to it's limit. (many factors will determine it's limit at any given time, e.g. temperature, SOC etc)
