With the speed limiter function when set on the steering wheel for the MG4 Trophy, I've noticed I'm only able to change the speed limit in increments of 5mph, so 25, 30, 35... is there a way to set it at, say, 32mph?

Many thanks,

Joe

Press and hold the joystick (up/down) and you get 1mph increments. It has a bit of a lag on it and then moves quite quickly, so can be difficult to set the desired speed (unless you enable it whilst doing 32mph for example).

FWIW I find the speedo very accurate vs real (GPS) speed, so 5mph increments to the "round" numbers is perfect for me.

Thanks very much, that's great! Good to know about the accuracy, too - my old car used to be off by about 2-3 mph.

Seeing as you seem to know so much (!), do you happen to know if it's possible to permanently set the speed limited option on the steering wheel, or do you have to set it every time you start unlock the vehicle? I've tried activating it by pressing the middle button on the left of the wheel, but I have to then go into the laggy system to set it each time.

Thanks again

Don't know - sorry. I have the option set (on my SE SR) for cruise rather than limiter, and the subsequent option set to ACC. (I'm not in the car right now so I can't remember all the menu options). All I know is that it stays set for ACC (or TJA if I select that option) even after a restart.

Sorry if you have answered this before but when is it worth engaging TJA vs ACC? Thanks to your excellent instructions I have mastered the ACC and I like it, but wondering why the MG4 has two systems and what the differences are?

TJA is like a poor-man's version of Tesla Auto-Pilot ... it'll steer the car for you to try and keep to the centre of the lane (as well as have the ACC feature). However it's not great, and is only supposed to be used in slow traffic (TJA = Traffic Jam Assist) although it does still work at higher speeds on A roads and motorways.

Sorry for the late follow up. I can only access this forum on my rarely-used laptop because when I tried to sign up on my phone I was identified as a spammer (I'm not) and I now can't access the forum on my phone!

I tried what you suggested, but it still only moves up in increments of 5mph :/

Simplest way is to manually reach the speed you want and then engage ACC.

The previous method does work for me, but like I said - there's a lag and then the speed changes (in 1 mph increments) quite quickly so it's not easy to set a non-5 mph increment.
