During last winter, a loud rubberised squeak/knock emanated from the rear suspension on the driver's side, in particular when going over speed humps. When the warmer weather arrived, the noise completely disappeared. Except on ONE single occasion, mid July, when I'd driven for miles and miles in very heavy rain, the same noise returned as I travelled over the speed bumps near my home.
The car was due for its first service in September 2025, so I reported the situation to the dealer to take a look. However, as anticipated (because the noise wasn't evident throughout the summer), they said they couldn't find a problem; in essence, I suppose, there wasn't an issue on this day, as the noise was in its "silent" period?

Yesterday, after driving in torrential rain, going over the speed humps near my home, the same old squeaky rubberised NOISE has RETURNED. First time since last winter. Today it's still there. In a couple of weeks, the car is going in for the seat recall fix. If the noise is still happening, then I'll ask them to investigate it if they can. If not, I'll go back in the winter when the squeak is sure to be there.

My car had so many squeaks and creaks - particularly from the drivers seat, in the end I didn't bother mentioning it. In fact i was under the impression that as far as MG UK were concerned, those issues weren't covered by warranty.
Of course noise was always something present for me on nearly every journey, as to go home requires me to drive up a hill, so I always could listen to the engine revving at anything upto and beyond 3,000 RPM, whilst travelling at 20-25 MPH, thanks to the behaviour of the hybrid system!
On a separate but slightly linked note, I've had my replacement car - a BYD DOLPHIN SURF EV, and aside from the silence of the drivetrain, there is as yet, not a single squeak, creaks, or rattle.
In fact, without meaning to hijack the topic, in general the BYD in most respects, particularly cabin trim quality, feels like a step up from the MG3, which in places did feel particularly 'budget' transport. To me one of the worst aspects of the MG interior wasn't the flimsy sliding lid on the centre console, but the gloss black plastic, which quickly showed multitudes of surface swirls, something which is always going to be inevitable with this kind of trim. I did see on YouTube for anyone else that is bothered by this, a way to Polish the surface back up...
