Hi, I recently bought a 73 Trophy and very happy with it. However, in the past 2 days the 100% charged range has leapt from 230 to nearly 270 and this increased range is maintained as the range goes down ie. showing over 200 range with an 80% charge, driving with heater and headlights etc. Obviously the range cannot miraculously improve so I'm wondering if there's a reset somewhere which will cure the fault.

I don't think you need to worry! I've seen a similar (though not so large) increase in my 22 plate MG5 PFL. The apparent anomaly didn't last long!

If you want to be "sure", after your next charge to 100%, reset the GOM (sorry, can't help with how to do that on the Facelift version) and then see what it says.

It's a hangover from your recent driving (e.g. a lot of downhill and energy recovery). It can go the opposite way too! I never reset on my MG5, as it sorts itself out eventually. I just mentally attuned myself to the fact that 1% battery is roughly equivalent to around 1.8 to 2.2 miles distance, depending on whether it's winter or summer (unless it's been 'floored' on the M-way), and do the mental calculation.

From memory (as I'm still between EVs while my insurance is sorted), with the ignition on, use the steering wheel buttons to navigate to the GOM or range display. Then give a long press on the "OK" button on the RHS of the steering wheel until the display resets.

What sort of driving are you doing? If you are around town at slow speeds it could very well be telling you the correct numbers. If you drive at 70mph for a while I expect it will change dramatically.
