Personally don't think Tesla is being unreasonable at all. Also that was 6 months ago. So hardly news.

Guess it depends on how much ( if any ) public money went into subsidizing Teslas infrastructure. ?

To a certain extent, perhaps. Still the same principle though, why they closed it to other models. Not be being used as it was meant to be used.

... I suspect this is to do with specific locations where the ID4 taxi's (Addison Lee / Uber) wait for big fares, I was at Heathrow the other day, and tried to hop into an EV point (as the Tesla to all - is behind a parking / hotel paywall ), it was packed full of ID4's - luckly was dropping off my missus who had a word and one helpful chap moved his ID4 car so we could charge up.

One of the key reasons for buying a Tesla is access to the supercharger network. If they're always clogged up with non-Tesla's, they lose one of their main advantages. You can see why Tesla would want to keep that as a selling point.
