The airbag of your vehicle has triggered an alarm

I've received two of these messages (on my phone/MG app) today.

Has anyone seen anything similar?

It looks like they are being sent after i stop (and lock?) the car.

They are followed by a security alarm cancelled message a few minutes later and the car alarm didn't sound.

Do you have an OBD dongle attached to the car?
I assume that the car was with you and not at a dealership/garage?

I don't have an OBD attached. I've had the car nearly a year and today is the first time it's happened. I drove to the gym and parked, got the message just before the class started and quickly checked the car and everything looked ok.

Then drove home and parked on the drive and got another message when i was in the house.

It's likely a plug connector has come slightly loose. Check the ones on the cables under the driver's seat for a start.

Since it is about the airbag, I strongly recommend a dealer visit. Most likely a loose connection but best to be safe than sorry.
