What do people think is the better buy: a 24 plate SE LR which has done 9,000 miles or a 73 plate Trophy that's done 18500 miles. Both just about the same price?

Depends on whether you prefer the extra kit on the Trophy I guess. I’m not familiar with 24 vs 73 plate, but I think some 24 plates may be a phase 1 (no middle headrest or rear wiper) and some of those come with their specific issues, so I would always prefer a phase 2 in that case.

I would go for the former, but that's because I'm an SE fan. I don't think the mileage is all that important .

I don't think any 73 plate will be a Phase 1 car, never mind a 24 plate. 🤷‍♂️ 23 plate cars seem to be a mix, but I think all the old stock will have been cleared by the time of the 73 plate (01-Sep-23).

(Happy to be proven wrong). :)

I would go for the Trophy, I wasn't keen the back end styling of the SE. Mine is a 73 plate and it has the rear wiper so is a phase 2 car.

For me the heated steering wheel is great, I would really miss it. You don't get heated seats or steering wheel on the SE.

Are they both the same colour, if you can't make the decision based on specification and price, choose the one that looks best. :)
They are the same colour! It was actually the mileage I was thinking about but I'm not sure it's too much of a factor to be honest.
